The British School of Brussels is an educational institution that has been collaborating with Spark for many years. On this occasion, the BSB students and teachers’ experience has been as good and special as always.
Our journey together began on Sunday at the airport, with the chaperone picking them up from Seville and taking them by bus to El Puerto de Santa María, where Spark Languages is located. As they were home-stay students, the assigned families met their “adoptive” sons and daughters and carried them home to rest, and then they discovered the city with their families.
On Monday, the BSB students had their first Spanish lesson. After that they enjoyed a guided cycling route through Los Toruños Park, then some time to have lunch in that beautiful natural environment, and also they went kayaking. At the end, everybody had a relaxing and fun time on Valdelagrana Beach.
On Thursday, they continued their Spanish classes, where they learned interesting facts about the Spanish culture and language, and then visited the gypsy market to have a deeper insight into Spanish cultural aspects. They had a great time exploring the market and doing a yincana made of different challenges. Later, they enjoyed a padel masterclass and finally, they had tapas in a classical Spanish bar, it was definitely a gastronomical experience!
The next day was a mini-trip day to Cádiz, the capital of the province. The students and teachers were guided through the most beautiful places of this ancient city, as the different squares and churches, its market (where they tried pescaito frito, most popular food in Cádiz), the Cathedral and the Tavira Tower, where you can find the unique Obscure Camera. At the end of those cultural visits, they had free time in one of the most well-known places of Cádiz all over the world: La Caleta Beach. Then, it was time to return to catch the ferry to go back to El Puerto.
Their last day was spent on Seville, where they had the opportunity to explore the centre, their exotic and amazing streets, full of colours and life, and then they could visit the Alcázar of Seville, the Cathedral and its Giralda, historical patrimony of us all, fascinating and stimulating for the eye and the mind. Finally, they returned to the Sevilla Airport to catch their flight, carrying home with them an unforgettable trip to Spain!

We enjoyed our time with BSB here and hope it was a memorable experience for everyone.
