Godolphin & Latimer School trip to Spain 2023

School Trip to Spain: El Puerto de Santa Maria, Sevilla and Cadiz

Godolphin & Latimer – June 2023

As our second group for June, we were happy to welcome Godolphin & Latimer School in El Puerto de Santa María ! The group stayed with us in our  Spark Residence where they took part in our Spanish classes and learned about the Spanish culture through the many cultural activities that the Spark team had organized.

Their trips started on Monday with their arrival at Malaga where they were welcomed by Spark chaperone, Noelia. Then they went to walk around Ronda before being transferred to El Puerto de Santa Maria. As soon as they arrived to the Spark residence, everyone went to the rooftop and enjoyed barbecue.

On Tuesday, everyone started with a Spanish class and then had a walking tour through El Puerto de Santa Maria. They got to visit the castle, after the group had some free time on the beach.

Their third day started with a Spanish class, just like Tuesday, and they went to Cadiz. They visited Torre Tavira, ate churros con chocolate, walked through Genovés park and had some free time for shopping or seeing more of the city.

On thursday, on a rainy day, the girls went to Sevilla with the chaperone. Even though, it was not really the perfect day for everyone, they were brave and made sure to enjoy every moment, as it was their last day. They got to visit the famous plaza de España of Sevilla, the parque María Luisa, the Alcázar and the Giralda. To finish the day, they got a little time to do some shopping at Jerez center.

Once back to El Puerto, they had their last dinner with us, after they got their departure ceremony, everyone got a Spanish certificate from Spark.

On friday they first had a spanish class before going to Sevilla where they left us for the UK.

We enjoyed our time with Godolphin & Latimer here and hope it was a memorable experience for everyone.
