School Trip to Spain: El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz and Sevilla
Christ School – June 2023
We were happy to welcome Christ School as our second group for June in El Puerto de Santa María ! The group stayed with us in Spark Residence where they took part in our Spanish classes and learned about the Spanish culture through the many cultural activities that the Spark team had organized.
The group arrived on a Friday to Gibraltar ‘s airport, where the Chaperone picked them up. As they arrived to the Spark Residence, everyone had tapas on the rooftop. Later, everyone went to the beach and had some free time and played sport.
On Saturday, after the breakfast, everyone had a Spanish class lesson so they were separated into 5 groups, with Lucia, Inés, Noelia, Marta and Laura. After the class, they had a walking tour through El Puerto de Santa Maria and got to see the Castle and the Church of El Puerto. After dinner, the group watched Encanto to finish the day.
On sunday, the group walked to the ferry and went to Cadiz. They visited Torre Tavira, ate churros con chocolate, walked through Genovés park and had some free time for shopping or seeing more of the city. Once back to the residence, they had their last dinner with us, and then it was time for the departure ceremony.
On their last day, everyone walked to the parc and had some free time and then left us for Sevilla where they got to visit some places as El Barrio Santa Cruz or La Plaza de Espana. At On the same day, the Chaperone gave everyone their Spanish certificates. Later that night, they took their flight to the UK from Sevilla airport.
We enjoyed our time with Christ School here and hope it was a memorial experience for everyone.
