School Trip to Spain: Cadiz and El Puerto de Santa Maria.
Guildford High – July 2022
One of the last groups Spark welcomed in El Puerto de Santa María before the summer break was Guildford High. We had a great time meeting everyone and making it a memorable experience! The group stayed with us in our wonderful Spark Residence where they took part in our Spanish classes and learned about the Spanish culture through the many cultural activities that the Spark team had organized.
The students and teachers started with a Spanish class and tour around El Puerto de Santa Maria. Later that day they also went kayaking.
On Tuesday everyone went to Cadiz on the ferry and saw Torre Tavira, Parque Genovés and ate churros con chocolate.
On their first day, the students and teachers went to the market to get paella ingredients that they were going to use on Wednesday. So on Wednesday the group was divided into two groups and did the following activities: Paella’s cooking lesson and Flamenco dance class.
In the evening Spark organized a departure ceremony to show everyone a slideshow with pictures of their stay and to hand out the Spanish certificate.
We enjoyed the time we spend with Guildford High and we hope that all the students and teachers did the same.
