School Trip to Spain: Cadiz, Sevilla and El Puerto de Santa Maria.
Toynbee – February 2023
The third group Spark welcome in February was Toynbee. We enjoyed meeting everyone and making it a memorable experience in El Puerto de Santa María ! The group stayed with us in our wonderful Spark Residence where they took part in our Spanish classes and learned about the Spanish culture through the many cultural activities that the Spark team had organized.
Their trips started on Thursday with a trip to Seville and visited Plaza de España and Parque María Luisa. After that, they had some free time to shop and discover Sevilla. In the evening they arrived at Spark.
On Friday the groups went to the market to buy the ingredients for the paella they made later that day. They also had a walking tour through El Puerto de Santa Maria. When they arrived back at Spark they had four activities. They made paella and got 3 different Spanish classes where they among other things made postcards about their trip. After 4 rounds everyone moved to the roof and enjoyed the delicious paella everyone made.
On Saturday everyone went to Cadiz on the ferry and saw the Catedral, Torre Tavira, Teatro romano and ate churros con chocolate. After all that, they went back to Spark and had their departure ceremony with pictures of their stay and everyone got a Spanish certificate.
We loved having Toynbee here and making it a memorial experience for everyone.
